  Windshield Adhesives
3M has a complete line of adhesive products to install auto body windshields, backglass, and stationary glass. One part moisture curing urethane adhesives(that meet OEM specifications) bonds auto body replacement glass to car bodies and butyl ribbon sealer for older model vehicle glass installation.
3M's system highly recommends the use of 3M Single Step Primer being applied to the auto body glass windshield on the bond line area to improve adhesion. 3M Single Step Primer can also can be used for priming exposed metal on the auto body pinch-weld. 3M Single Step Primer 08681 or 08682 is NOT RECOMMENDED for use with Windo-Weld Ribbon Sealer.
